About Dr. Lisa
Dr. Lisa Sundahl Platt serves as Technology Lead and Research Faculty at the UF Florida Institute for Built Environment Resilience (FIBER) and as an Assistant Professor of Interior Design. Her research translates building science into actionable decision-support tools, most notably the Sustainable Adaptive Material Performance Level (SAMPL™) framework, enabling contractors, carriers, and policymakers to quantify how specific material choices affect moisture risk, claim costs, and housing durability over time. With more than 25 years as a licensed interior designer and consultant, she brings field-grounded perspective to research that connects directly to the managed repair ecosystem.
